Hive IT join the Design to Deliver Programme.
At Hive IT, we are very proud to announce that we have been selected as one of the specialist design consultancies to partner and provide support to innovative SMEs, ‘Nature Nurture’ and ‘Mechanimal’ via the Design to Deliver programme.
Twelve companies have been chosen to receive specialist design thinking support and funding through the programme as they develop their ideas to help regenerate nature.
Led by Connected Places Catapult and funded by Innovate UK, this is a competitive programme looking for projects to develop and inspire people to reconnect with the natural world.
The Design to Deliver programme advocates for the regeneration of nature, which is enabled by empowering twelve SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) through funding, design expertise and technical support.
We’re excited to be working with innovative SMEs to develop their nature-tech solutions to unlock human behaviours and drive nature regeneration. We will be leading the SMEs through a design-thinking process to help them refine their solutions to some of the UK's most critical environmental challenges.
We will be supporting the ‘Informed Choices For Nature-Positive Actions’ category led by Digital Catapult, where we will be supporting two standout projects this year:
Nature Nurture - The Web of Life Quest
This chosen SME is developing an immersive audio experience called, ‘The Web of Life Quest’. An immersive and dynamic sonic quest which will guide people through the web of life in urban green spaces. They aim to inspire people to venture into the wild and inspire nature-positive actions.
Mechanimal - Deepwood
We will be working with them on their project on an innovative immersive audio experience that uses artificial intelligence to translate real-time tree data into a dynamic, spatial soundscape.
Hive IT’s Role
At Hive IT, we believe thoughtful design can effect meaningful change. Our team will work alongside Nature Nurture and Mechanimal to provide expert design support/solutions, helping these companies refine their concepts, align with their user needs and create meaningful solutions that will resonate within communities.
In partnership with WeCanMake (Knowle West Media) Bristol, the location partner for the challenge, we look forward to seeing Nature Nurture and Mechanimal bring their projects to life.
We are so proud as a Sheffield-based company to be a part of this initiative to help bridge the gap between innovative ideas and real-world impact.
