Hive IT was founded in early 2014 by our Managing Director, Jonny Rippon, with a simple vision…"we can do this better"
Our founders, Jonny, Duncan and Marv worked together at a vibrant digital agency. They saw how passionate and motivated people could transform a company. When the organisation they worked for was acquired by a large corporation, which focused on profits and shareholders, the fun stopped and the culture changed. As an alternative to this approach, Hive IT was created as a sanctuary for our founders and like-minded people.
From the beginning, Hive has been a full-service agency offering technical expertise and user experience design with a small, cohesive team. While our skills and specialisms have evolved with the changing digital landscape, our mission has always been to ‘Make good things happen’.
Starting in Sheffield, our team of over 26 people now spans across the UK and our solutions are implemented worldwide. We continue to prioritise people over profits, which is reflected in the type of projects we undertake, how we treat individuals and our impact on the community and wider society.
We support a diverse range of clients, from small local charities and social enterprises to large-scale government platforms. We take pride in the positive impact and value we provide to our clients and partners. Over the last decade, we’ve built a reputation for our collaborative, honest and friendly approach and our ability to deliver results.
